Dwell in possibility ...

I have been blessed with a lifetime of extraordinary lesson plans. One of which was entitled “How to Create Possibility.” It goes like this:

Imagine a circle. This circle represents everything that can be known. Now, inside that circle, imagine how much of it you know. (That’s probably a teeny tiny speck, if we really think about it).

Let’s give it the benefit of the doubt and say that you know a seriously thin pie slice of this circle of all that can be known. This is what you know you know.

Then there will be a slightly bigger pie slice that will be what you know you don’t know. The remaining part of the circle will be what you don’t know, and you don’t even know you don’t know it.

Therein lies possibility. Wake up every morning and ask yourself this question: “What don’t I know, and don’t even know I don’t know it, the knowing of which could transform the way I live my life?” Step out into your day, and live into it from that question.
